ATTENTION PV Designer Users: PV Designer licenses are showing EXPIRED status, as of January 1, 2012, even if the license is still valid into the new year. This requires a user fix, where you activate using a generic license id, then reactivate with your own code. You can do this process yourself with the procedure here, but if you need assistance, you can contact Solmetric support.

Solar Access Reports and Data Files:
The SunEye interfaces to the USB port of your PC, and data is transferred from the device to the SunEye Desktop software. A Solar Access and Shading Report summarizes the data from each session. To see a sample report in either pdf or html format, click on either html shade report or pdf shade report.

The SunEye 210 also outputs various data files for use in simulation and design programs. When data is taken using the integrated GPS option, all Skylines are geo-tagged, and the locations and data can be output to Google Earth TM.
Click here to see a sample file in Google Earth. Google Earth must be installed for this link to function. Download Google Earth here.

Notes on Solmetric PV Designer Software

Version 3.0 or higher of the SunEye Desktop Software contains the PV Designer, which enables you to lay out solar PV modules on a roof surface and calculate the energy production for your system. Results are corrected for the impacts of partial shading, using your Skylines from the Solmetric SunEye.

The PV Designer is launched from the Session menu of the SunEye Desktop Software. From there, the user can sign up for a 30-day free trial, or purchase and activate the license. This trial or license is required only for the PV Designer, and is not required for the shade analysis functions of the SunEye Desktop Software.

A sample session comes preloaded within the software. To create your own sample session without SunEye shading data, select Session, New, and follow the instructions.
