Notes on Solmetric PV Designer Software

Version 3.0 or higher of the SunEye Desktop Software contains the PV Designer, which enables you to lay out solar PV modules on a roof surface and calculate the energy production for your system. Results are corrected for the impacts of partial shading, using your Skylines from the Solmetric SunEye.

The PV Designer is launched from the Session menu of the SunEye Desktop Software. From there, the user can sign up for a 30-day free trial, or purchase and activate the license. This trial or license is required only for the PV Designer, and is not required for the shade analysis functions of the SunEye Desktop Software.

To download an example SunEye session to assist in the evaluation of the PV Designer Software, click Example Session. Be sure to put the session (unchanged) into the folder where the Desktop software will look for it, normally My Documents/Solmetric/SunEye/Sessions/.

To download an example "Summary PDF" report, click Example Summary PDF.

To download a copy of the PV Designer User's Guide in English click PV Designer User's Guide (English).

For assistance with PV Designer, see the Knowledge Base or send an email to support@solmetric.com.
