How do I know when a new SunEye or PV Designer software update is available?

The SunEye software has a feature where every time the application starts it checks with the Solmetric web server (if connected to the Internet) to see if there is a software update available.  If an update is available, the user is prompted with the option to upgrade at that time.  Note that this feature has not always been activated. It was activated for version 2.8 (approx. Jan 2009) and is active for version 4.40.xxxx.   The software can be downloaded from the Solmetric web site at www.solmetric.com. The installer program will update the SunEye device, the SunEye desktop software, and the PV Designer. Existing data such as SunEye sessions and PV Designer designs will not be impacted by the update.
