Solmetric has found that an operator is able to control the pole very well without additional level indicators at the base of the extension pole. In addition, the SunEye readings will be automatically corrected for the tilt and azimuth of the SunEye when readings are taken. Tilt compensation will be up to 7 degrees, and Solmetric has found that it seems straightforward to hold the pole at least 7 degrees from vertical without additional indicators. We will continue to evaluate this as we get more experience with the SunEye Extension Kit.
